  Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service is Monday, January 19, 2026, and we are excited that MMR will host an in-person service event that day.
  The day begins with Liturgy of the Word in the church followed by several service activities in the school gym. The event will take place from 9:00 AM to approximately Noon.
  Organizations receiving our help this year include: MMR Giving Tree, St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, Breathing Room Foundation, Caring for Friends, Least of our Brothers, Stray Cat Blues, Elmwood Park Zoo, and Missionary Childhood Association.
  This event, sponsored by CYO and is open to everyone in the parish community. Registration is requested. Children in grades K thru 2 must be accompanied by an adult.

  CYO Mission Statement and Philosophy: CYO sports is one component of a parish’s comprehensive youth ministry program which enables the partnership of parents, coaches, priests, religious, teachers, and adult leaders to manage and support a sports program that allows youth to grow in their relationship with God and come to better understand themselves and the Catholic faith.
  
  Youth play sports because it’s fun; youth leave organized sports because it’s not fun—it’s that simple.

  Winter Basketball 2025 Registration is Now Open!
  MMR CYO 2025 Winter Basketball registration is now open and will close on Friday, October 17, 2025!
  Please Note - There will be NO registrations allowed after this date for Grades 4th - 8th, NO exceptions!
  Please read the information and sign up using the links below BEFORE OCTOBER 17th.
  
  New This Year! If you are registering more than THREE children for Winter Sports, there is a discount for the 4th Child. Please note, this is based on the number of children registered and NOT the number of sports. If you are registering more than three children, PRIOR to registering in TeamSnap, please contact Cass Maloney and Greg Pellish at cyo@mmredeemer.org.
  
  Boys and Girls - 4th through 8th Grade Basketball
  This year we will once again be offering 4th Grade, 5th - 6th Grade (JV) and 7th - 8th Grade (V) Boys and Girls Basketball.

  Our teams compete in Region 20. Both our JV and Varsity Divisions for boys and girls will have one South Team, which is our most competitive team and we will have as many North Teams as we have children signed up to play, and coaches available to coach.
  3rd Party evaluations will begin the weekend of November 1, 2025 (Schedule to be released at a later date).
  Practices are generally Monday - Friday between 5:30pm and 9:00pm with games being played on weekends, all day Saturday and after 1:00pm, Sundays. Practice schedules are set by gym availability and coach availability. Practices are held at MMR and local North Penn Schools.
  
  New This Year - The price of registration will include a UNIFORM! Every child will get a sublimated uniform to keep, we will have sizing try-on at the school. Try on dates will be Saturday, October 4th and Saturday, October 18th, times will be sent in the near future.
  
  Boys and Girls - High School Basketball - Grades 9th - 12th
  This year we will once again be offering 9th Grade - 12th Grade Boys and Girls Basketball.

  Registration Note - ALL Registration fields must be filled out! Registration is not complete until all fields and questions are filled out and answered.
  
  COACHES- We are always in need of Head/Assistant coaches. These programs cannot happen without you. We don’t want to have to cancel because of a lack of coaches so please consider signing up for the kids. If you are considering coaching, you will need to complete all the clearance requirements before the start of the season.   Basketball Coordinator:
  We would like to thank Sean Smith who has been our Basketball Coordinator the last two years! Due to family and work commitments, Sean has stepped away as our coordinator.
  Stepping into the role of Basketball Coordinator is Chris Getman! Thank you Chris for stepping up and coordinating our basketball program!
  We need everyone’s help to make CYO a success. We thank you for your continuing support in keeping the CYO sports traditions going. Please spread the word to anyone interested. We are looking forward to a GREAT Winter 2025 season and beyond!!
