Child Safety
Protecting God's Children
All priests and deacons, as well as parish staff and volunteers who have regular contact with children, must attend Safe Environment training. This training will provide a greater understanding to the adults in our Church on how they can be protectors of children and models of appropriate behavior and relationships. It will teach them to be advocates for those who are most vulnerable. It is also a part of the Church's efforts to support parents in their responsibility to educate their children concerning personal safety. This training session consists of a video presentation and a discussion. It addresses the problem of child sexual abuse in today's society and offers suggestions on how to prevent it.
The session will begin at the designated starting time. Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow time for signing in and obtaining your materials. you are expected to remain for the entire session.
